Kirsten is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist who believes that every individual possesses unique strengths and the inherent capacity for growth. Her approach is rooted in the belief that therapy is a collaborative journey, where the client is the expert of their own life. By integrating traditional talk therapy with the power of creative expression, Kirsten helps her clients gain deeper insight into their emotions and behaviors, enabling them to move past obstacles and live their most fulfilling lives.
With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, Kirsten has worked across a wide variety of therapeutic settings. She has a specialized passion for supporting neurodiverse individuals, helping them navigate a neurotypical world by celebrating their unique ways of thinking. Her extensive background also includes working with individuals navigating trauma, living with HIV/AIDS and managing the stress of chronic illness, by providing a safe and nonjudgmental space for healing and transformation.
Kirsten’s dedication to the field extends beyond the clinical setting. She has presented her research at the American Art Therapy Association National Conferences and served as the Membership Coordinator for the Arizona Art Therapy Association. Her global perspective is informed by her time living in three different countries and across every region of the United States. Outside the office, Kirsten enjoys staying active with her children and partner by exploring all that Arizona has to offer.
